New mocs on order

For years I have been a LL Bean Camp Moc guy. I have worn out several pair during the summers and it is my favorite shoe style.

But now, like George Jefferson, I am moving on up. I ordered a pair of Quoddy Canoe Mocs yesterday the old fashioned way, I called them on the phone! These will be hand made in Maine to my exact specs. I ordered the brown Chromexel with red brick soles and brass eyelets. This should be a great combination. Pictures will follow in 4-6 weeks!

So I have decided to change the name of this thing to “Hailey’s Comet”. It is certainly a reference to the real thing, but not spelled right. I carried this tag as a kid in school and may start acting like a kid again. We will see about that…

Snow, Snow, Snow, UGH!

Well here we are waiting on snow. It is now 10 am and first flake has not dropped. Schools are letting out at 11 am to get ready. I am very over winter and still can’t believe that the Mid-South has received this much snow this season. I will try to post pictures of the event later.
